Fisher house is a home away from home for service members, veterans and their families, who often travel great distances for specialized medical care. Fisher House Foundation donates and builds "Comfort Homes" on the grounds of major military bases and VA medical centers.

These homes enable family members to be near loved ones during hospitalization due to illness or injury.

In 1994, the first Fisher house was built in NY. In the past 21 years, they have built 28 houses and helped over 17,000 families! This is the 1st Pacific coast Fisher House! This is the ultimate in supporting our Troops!

John & I were fortunate to be invited to this ceremony.

I took some photos of the new Fisher House. It is breathtaking! Better than any 5 star hotel and we were highly impressed at the lengths gone to to make this truly a "Home Away from Home" for the families of our Troops!

Please enjoy the photographs.
